Day 1 Poster Design

Posters posters and more posters...woo hoo

these are Day 1 and 2 posters...loving the things that the students are coming up with!

Poster Design with Jessica Sprague

I am taking a class on designing posters at JessicaSprague.com. I have always had a love affair with type and I have been looking forward to this class. Yesterday we did a poster using the letters of the alphabet and highlighted one letter with meaning to us....most I am sure used their name. I used the letter Q! We just recently acquired one of my families property that is known as the Quarry Stone. From this old quarry the stone was used for the court house in the small town where we live. We lived on this property which housed an old hotel and post office when I was growing up. I have fond memories of riding my horse and roaming the 72 acres. My husband fell in love with this land and we are planning on building there in the near future. I will post a picture later when I get it framed!

I believe in you!

Another card using hearts with the same color scheme. This used Papertrey Ink card stock in Vintage Cream and Black and a stamp from January's Flower Fusion #12.....love this stamp! A pop of red thin binding used as ribbon, paper flowers and 3 little brown pearls finish it off!

Hearts of Love

I had fun with this one I used Vintage Cream  and Black card stock from Papertrey Ink  along with a stamp from the January "Script Sentiments". I love to add a pop of red with a cream/black color scheme and the addition of a few paper flowers and the red satin ribbon finished the card.

Merci

Papertrey Challenges are so much fun!

The heart on this card was cut with my Cameo along with the lace heart overlay. The design is another Wryn from Tiddlewinks digi and I colored it with copics. The stamp was from the new January stamp set "Script Sentiments" stamped with Versamark and then embossed with clear powder. I used my Copic airbrush to soften the heart background.

Have a wonderful evening!

Papertrey Challenges...oh my

My youngest granddaughter spent the morning with me in the studio and we had a ball with all Nana's scrapping stuff...she is a very old 4 and does remarkably  well with the stamps and glue!

I love working from sketches it just frees the mind to concentrate on color and aesthetics .....so here is the first one it will be for my DH for our Anniversary. I used Papertrey's vintage cream and black for the base and cut the leaves from card stock and colored them with Copics.

It will seem strange when the daily challenges are over it has been so much fun :)

Cameo Silhouette pen holder and a white gel pen from American Crafts

Here is a simple tag where I designed the word art and the heart in PS and then saved them as png's which allows me to open them in SL to layout and cut the designs.

I used a standard shape in PS for the diamond pattern and then overlaid digital word art on top for a unique digi-stamp combination.

The simple heart shape with a style applied to it becomes such a cute accent by layering about 4 of them and then as a final touch.....applying some Glossy Accents for real pop!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenge

Today's challenge is based on an inspiration found from Pinterest....one of my go to sites  :)

I choose this one from Pinterest "Pantones Colors of the year"

I love the bright saturated colors. The digi stamp was printed on Papertrey's stampers white card stock colored with Copics and I used a stamp from "Signature Greetings" love the fonts and the lay out on this set!!

I am so enjoying this weeks 5th Anniversary Challenges and am soooo glad  that Papertrey is now on Pinterest..woo hoo!!

The last one for today's Papertrey Challenge....:(

This is the last one for today. I used my Silhouette Cameo for the heart cut out and the lacy overlay. Do you think that Ashley Cannon Newell will get sick of me using her colors?  The stamp is a digi stamp from Tiddlewinks "Wryn" so cute she is! I used the new January Script Sentiments Stamps love love love them!

I love Valentine's Day Cards!

Here is another card created using the colors of Ashley Cannon Newell....love her designs! I love the bigger "Mega Mixed Messages" I could not get along without the original set and this one will fill in the gap when larger is needed!

Don't you just love Valentine's...a good reason to show bunches of love :)
