Thankful!

I have been participating in Cathy Zielske's 30 Days of Thankful" a month where we create in pics and words the things in our life that we are most thankful for. It started on November 1st...here are my first four pages!

I am also doing an online Adobe Illustrator class

Young and these are the journaling cards I made.

Typography Portrait...OMGoodness!

I had taken a class at scrapaneer.com with Amanda Taylor a while ago but decided to revisit the blog and try my hand at Typography Portrait following her tutorial on "Art of Journaling" using a photo that was taken with photo booth so not the best....it was complex but so worth the time spent. She is a wonderful teacher and Scrapaneer has the best classes I have found online!

My girls!

I love my Silhouette Cameo!! After a minor adjustment to a dahlia cut file from the Silhouette Store I used it as a stencil to apply modeling paste to the background. Before it dried I added Martha Stewart's lily white glitter pressing it very lightly into the paste. Using my Copic compressor I lightly tinted the dahlia cut outs and the page with Light Prawn R22 and then added some individual cut files from the Silhouette store and Studio Calico! So fun...

I now use my sewing machine more for scrapbooking than for sewing. I love to be able to play.....it is a benefit of retirement. I am never bored :)
