Tier 3

WOW, I am almost finished with the 3 series of classes for the Tier 3 program. I only need to film the Still Life Series. I am enjoying the cultural aspects of the Tier 1 studies and am in awe of the works produced under such tool and material limitations. On a lighter note I have been having fun using my designs for digital scrapbooking (my second love)and for use in mixed media digital art. There are not enough hours in the day for all that I would like to do...Have a wonderful day and paint in the light of God's colors!

No more deadlines at least for a little while!

Well I submitted my line drawings and outline yesterday for the Tier 3 program....I am glad that I did it before the deadline...by a smidge! Now the fun part...painting and videoing {is that a word?} Anyway, the online photo class I was taking is now finished, HOOT convention is over for another year and my new studio is about half way there....I am blessed and so very thankful.

Time for painting!

May I Paint in the light of God's colors with a thankful heart!

HOOT convention and Traditions Tier program

I want to thank all of the dedicated HOOT convention workers that allow us the venue for teaching. It is deeply appreciated. The 2 classes went so well and the students were sooooo much fun...even the night class managed to get their pieces finished. I was impressed!!

I am now firmly into preparing the Tier 3 classes for 2010! It is an exciting time to be an artist in the Decorative Art World!!

May all have a blessed day and paint with the light of God's colors!

It is so nice being married to a craftsman!
He comes up with heirloom pieces for me to paint!
This cabinet was one of them.

This week will be dedicated to painting shoes...you heard me right....shoes! I will be basecoating and painting flowers on 30 pairs of shoes. They will be the centerpieces for our Mother/Daughter Tea on the 23rd. The shoes were given to me yesterday at church and we are leaving on the 16th for the Carolina's... so they must be done before we leave. It sounded like an easy enough thing to do. Paint some flowers on some shoes...but....you have to basecoat the shoes....have you ever basecoated vinyl, plastic, leather and fabric shoes? It is not a pretty sight! And they want the flowers in neon colors...this will be a challenge for me!
